  We utilize Planmed Sophie Classic mobile mammography units. We also employ the use of the latest R2 Computer-aided detection (CAD) system. This refers to the sophisticated pattern recognition software radiologists use to help them read mammogram images and is used as a "second set of eyes". The American Cancer Society recognizes the benefits of CAD as a technique for enhanced breast cancer screening.

  Imaging Associates is the first mammography practice in the country to use computerized reporting to track patients and perform quality assurance audits. We also founded the first commercial mammography software, which is now the most widely used in the country. Imaging Associates provided guidance to the FDA in implementing national legislation to ensure quality screening mammography.
